What should I wear?
We have no dress code. Some wear ties or dresses. Some come in blue jeans and boots. We want you feel comfortable, so come as you are!
What kind of music do you play?
Because HUC represents all generations, we worship with both hymns and contemporary songs. Our singing is accompanied by organ, piano & brass and also led by a worship team with guitar, keyboard & drums.

What does HUC believe?
We are an evangelical church that believes the teaching of the Bible. Specifically we believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to earth, died on a cross to forgive sin and rose from the dead to guarantee eternal life for all who would believe in Him. For more information on our core beliefs, check out our “About Us” page.

How long has HUC been in the community?
HUC was first birthed as a Sunday School in the early 1900’s as homesteaders moved into the valley forming the village of Hamlet. In 1921 the church building was constructed. The church affiliated with The Christian & Missionary Alliance in 1930. Since that time HUC experienced steady growth and purchased two houses adjacent to the church building, converting them into classroom space. In 1996 a new sanctuary and classrooms addition were dedicated. We continue to grow and recently purchased the old Hamlet Coop Weigh Station and are renovating it for use as a ministry center. More information on our history can be found at the “About Us” page.

How can I know if I will go to Heaven?
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13
We all know that we are not perfect, and that one day we will stand before a righteous God and give an account for our lives. At that moment you can be sure that you will enter Heaven if you simply put your trust in these facts.
Jesus Christ, God in human flesh, paid the penalty for your sin by dying on the cross and being buried in a borrowed tomb. (Romans 5:8). Three days later He rose from the dead proving He is God (I Corinthians 15:3-4). He now offers all who trust Him free access into Heaven through His death, burial, & resurrection (Romans 10:13).
If you call on Him today admitting your sin, asking Him to give you eternal life, trusting only Him, and not your good works to get you to Heaven…you can be sure of Heaven. It is our hope that you do this today.
You can pray this simple prayer: “Lord Jesus I know that I am a sinner. I know that you are God, and that you died to pay for my sin. I believe that you rose from the dead, proving that you are God. Right now, in the best way I know how, I ask you to be my Lord, Savior, and my God. Thank you Jesus for dying for me. Help me now to live for you. Amen”
Please contact a pastor if you prayed this prayer or have more questions on this matter.
