Our vision:

connecting to god

connecting with others

connecting through service

We believe these are the essential environments for spiritual growth. This is our pathway for spiritual transformation. Growth happens when we go beyond intellectual knowledge. We grow as we worship in a dynamic environment where the Spirit flows, and sound teaching is given. This happens in the environment of our Worship Service.  We practice more of what we learn when we interact with others and encourage each other. Life Groups and Sunday School are good environments for this kind of learning.  Beyond that we grow in our faith when we have to depend on God to do something bigger than ourselves and serve in the community. Click on connecting to God on the side bar for more information on our worship service.  Click on "Connecting with others" to learn more about Life Groups and Sunday School.  Click on "Connecting Through Service" for more information on serving in the community.

People often wonder about that busy Hamlet Union Church in the little village of Hamlet. Some are surprised to discover that HUC is part of a larger Christian, evangelical and Protestant denomination known as the Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA).

We are Christian because we believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

We are Missionary because we are committed to reaching people worldwide with the Gospel.

We are an Alliance of believers working together to grow in our knowledge of Jesus Christ and an Alliance of churches working together to expand the kingdom of God here and around the world.

From its beginning in 1887, the C&MA has grown to a worldwide family of 3.5 million believers with ministries in 81 countries. In the United States, people in nearly 2,000 Alliance churches worship weekly in 31 languages.

If you were to visit ten C&MA churches across the country (or around the world), you would find each one refreshingly distinct. Diverse ethnicities and worship styles characterize our movement. In a unique way our diversity serves to unite the Alliance family as we choose to focus on Christ and matters of eternal significance.
